Was at my FLGS this weekend and there was a huge apocalypse game. It was Khornate legions vs all other Chaos legions. I think they tallied the points to be somewhere around 175,000 pts. It was ridiculously awesome. Here is a picture, just after their three hour setup, as an example.

Yes that is 5 BBs and 9 LRs for the other traitor legions, and that is just for one side! This isn't even including all of the gargantuan creatures, greater demons, demon princes, primarchs etc. The game was literally epic.

Edit: My mistake, I thought I was in the gen. discussion forum. Mod please move to appropriate space.

Only 175K?

You want big? Look through Siegeworld's galleries.

They just get bigger and bigger each year.

The Siegeworld stuff looks great. Not only that, they're going for all painted models, not like that primer company...

I'm planning on making the trip to St. Louis for their big game this year.

That is 175000 pointr? really?

I have played in a 15,000 poiont game with 2 2-man sides. There is So much to think about when you are using armies that size. Myy teammate refused to use models until they are completely finished (and he's lazy) so i had to come up with 10,000 points by myself.

Khorne Legions won, so now in March we are doing another battle of similar or larger size where its pan-Chaos vs. Imperium. Should be fun...

PS: Can a Mod please move this to W40K Gen. Thanks

I just played a 18k point game today, and it was definately EPIC! Classic Ghaz vs. Yarric ork on guard (with a smallish detachment of battle sisters) action.
It was great fun, 3 turns completeed in only 10 hours...

With orks, even too many is not enough!

The biggest game I've ever seen points-wise was a 10,000 per side game in second edition game in which we agreed to throw decency out the window in army composition. Ultramarines, Space Wolves and Black Templars vs. Chaos, Nurgle Chaos and Ork lootas. We (the forces of the Emperor) deep struck an epic smackload of terminators and rolled the other side in the only crushing Imperial victory our FLGS ever saw in any large scale game, to the best of my knowledge.

I really need to get going on building my army. 2,000 isn't enough to consider Apoc., yet I really want to play in one.

Wow, is my game put to shame. The largest I've ever seen was the latest annual Assault on Santa's Workshop at my FLGS. 14,000 points a side, split unevenly between 5 players each (Different players have different maximum number of points). Good guys vs. Bad Guys (Tau, Space Marines, Inquisition, and Imperial Guard vs. Tyranids, Orks and Dark Eldar). Sadly, the Bad Guys won in the last round.

Hmm largest game i have played was 4 gamming table combined , and with 8 people. It was bring anything you want and no FOC. Needless to say the IG players all brought their basilisk and proceeded to blow everything up.

I don't really see the point of games that large. There is no room for maneuver. Its essentially run forward and get into CC with the ubit directly in front of you. *yawn*

Eldar war record; 31/6/41

Dark eldar war record; 65/43/11
