Do you have the codex? If you don't buy it. It has a getting started bit and such. Also check on the GW site as they have Necron articles and tings.

Also check out the army lists section, i'm sure there are a few 1500 lists to be found.

However, I would say buy what models you like the look of and what you think would be cool. You'll have much more fun that way.

Well..you'll need at least 2 units of the Necron warriors as well as NIghtbringer to make a legal force, I'd for around 25-30 of them at least and then buy as many destroyers and heavy destroyers as you can. Immortals are also an option worth looking at.

I would also suggest looking at the Necron Lord As an option as well, even when given wargear -- including the near obligatory resurrection orb --they're much cheaper than the C'tan.

One thing to bear in mind with the Necrons is that it is often best to take at least two of any unit type as that makes it much easier ( perhaps even possible) to benefit from your WBB rules.

A lot of people dislike the Monolith and it does have its flaws. But..it can be a fun bit of kit to use and I've, on occassion, found it to be invaluable. However it is pricey and you may well find that your army lacks the low AP weapons that are pretty essential these days if you don't stock up on Heavy Destroyers.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

Well.. The monolith is actualy imho the most durable thing in the game. It's AV 14 all round, and it has the living metal rule. With that rule, melta guns and chain fists don't get 2d6 armor pen. Nothing will get more than 1 dice for armor pen. Unless your getting struck by a str 9-10 hit the monolith can't get blown away (of course it can get the hell scrached out of it )

It has pretty nice firepower to boot (a str 9 large blast) and it can teleport units to itself.

Sorry, I lost my E-temper a little.
It's just that it is the third or fourth time that very similar threads have been started by the same poster.
The other threads had been answered in a perfectly acceptable and helpful manner by many users, including myself and the op
seems to have ignored them all or not taken any of the info on board. This was why I alerted a mod to the presence of yet another
similar thread.
I understand that the poster is 11 or 13 (the profile seems a little confused) but i'm sure that Maximus12108 can do better than this!

Back on topic: As I have said before, buy the codex, read some rules, find which models you like within those given rules/codex and get collecting.

Good luck!
