what is the difference, if any, between the dark angels veterans marines boxed set that costs $22 and the 'dark angels chapter upgrade' that costs $20?

$2.00 to be specific.

The chapter upgrade has the vehicle sprues whilst the vetans got only the infantry upgrades....

Or to be specific, veterans consist of SM( models) + DA infantry sprues, chapter consists of all DA upgrade sprues.

I think the Chapter Upgrade simply has the sprue to add DA icons to the Marines, while the DA Vets box has parts to make actual DA robed Marines with loads of different weapons. Also in the Chapter Upgrade you get a sprue to upgrade your Ravenwing troops too.

so, if i wanted to make a command squad for DA with robed bodies i should get the $22 one?

deffinately get the vet squad the $22 one. because it allows you to model 5 robed dark angels aswell as having all the upgrade parts for the terminators and most of the icons. where as the upgrade pack just has the robed bodies, icons, terminator bits and a few vehicle parts.

so in short to make a robed squad get the veteran squad at $22 thats what i did. and ive got quite a few spare parts from the vet squad pack.

I'm pretty sure the only difference is that the "upgrade pack", is the veteran box, minus the bases and the Sergeant/special weapons sprue.
