I'm not sure if this was the best place to post this, but since BF doesn't have their own forums, and since I can't seem to use the contact form, here was the best place I could think of...

Anyways, I had a question to the people who have ordered from BattleFoam: Do they email anything post-purchase? I am asking this because I made an order with a payment that cleared over a week and a half ago, and I have recieved NO emails from them (just one from Paypal saying payment complete) and I was wondering if this is normal/to be expected from them?

I have no experience with battlefoam, but a lot of other Internetshops I have used have the same "problem". They let you know what you ordered and should pay, but once they have their money nothing is heard, until the order arrives at the door.

I would not lose any sleep over it for now. If you are worried something is wrong however, you could try calingl them to check...

When I ordered from them on "Black Friday" I received a confirmation e-mail when payment was complete, another e-mail stating that my 'custom foam request' was received and then another 'automatic' e-mail from Fed Ex when it shipped.

PM Romeo through his Dakka Dakka account.

He's usually VERY fast to answer any questions.

Of course, you could also phone him up too...

They have a pretty good reputation but sometimes tend to get behind in orders because they are doing so well. I would give em a call if you have any concern or at least to make sure the order went okay.

Following my order I had a similar issue, I got the order/payment received email but no confirmation that my email containing my loadout request etc had been received. Eventually I PM'd Romeo here on Dakka, his reply basically stated that it's their policy not to reply/use email unless there is a problem with the order but they send out an email when the order ships with tracking info etc.

So basically the fact that you haven't received any emails would suggest that all is well with your order. If you have a major concern then your best bet is to call them.

Calling them is the best way to get in touch , forget email... they are not that good promptly answering emails.

Pm's here seem to work ok.

Normally you will get a billing statement, I do think I got a UPS tracking Number though when it ships.

Also don't expect it quickly. If you ordered any thing custom cut , or some thing they were out of/not in stock it could be up to 5 weeks before shipping (read the fine print on the web page). Maybe longer with the volume of orders form the black Friday sales. Things have sped up since the summer, but they are turning a lot of stock right now.

Then there is the issues with Canadian Customs judgeing from your location flag...
All things are thrown out the window with that.

Yeah, of course I can't expect it quickly, especially with Black Friday orders, Holiday Season shipping times, and Customs (well to be fair, my last ~4 packages I've gotten in the last couple weeks only took a couple hours at customs)

On their web page the orders say 2-3 weeks to complete and with it being the holidays it might be longer.

I know you should get an Email from the border telling you the date it ships into our Great White North from Yankville.

Had it both times i have ordered from BF.

I received my Black Friday purchase almost 2 weeks ago! (A 1520, with foam)

Same here, but in Canada......Like, I know they were gonna be busy, but I guess I made the wrong assumption that they would have enough stock of (non customized) stuff to get shipped out, which is why I decided against getting it custom cut or even written on, in the hope that it would've shipped instantly....

It took just over a month for my order to be filled (1520 with all standard trays bar one) and a further 11 days to ship to England. This was placed just before the Black Friday offer (d'oh!).

The wait was worthwhile though .... the thing is seriously great.

Just to give you some perspective, i also ordered on Black Friday and my bag and foam only just left the US on Friday Dec. 18th.

Guys,

Just to put things into perspective. We had over 500 orders on Black Friday. 300 of those needed to be custom load outs for the 1520. That's 300 custom cut custom designed 1520's. That's a lot of work if anyone was wondering. Our whole staff has worked everyday since Black Friday with the odd off day here and there.

My wife and I have worked every day since Black Friday with an average of 12 hour days just to keep up. Also keep in mind that we had orders before Black Friday and orders after.

We deal with retailers, wholesalers, our new account Wayland Games, and the release of the Flames Of War Kit Bag and the new Privateer Press launch.

That's a whole bunch to fit in a 30 day window. Now I'm not making excuses but folks we do say 3-4 weeks. That's for every order that's custom.

Eight Ball, if your wondering the status of your order why don't you call us. We have a free 800 number and you can find out the exact location your order is at. By posting on Dakka your hoping we get on here and reply when all you need to do is call us.

We would be more then happy to get you a status and tell you when your shipping or if you already shipped. Sometiime US Postal will deliver a package and never auto generate a tracking number. For all you know the package may show up tomorrow.

I have been very pleased with battlefoam's customer service. Dealing with gamers and custom work is not easy at all but in my experience they have always been very patient with me and accommodating.

Shipping around this time of year ALWAYS takes longer than it would under normal circumstances. Add in to that having to make a greater influx of custom cut foam due to sales and you absolutely have to expect that your order might be delayed.

Oh I'm in no rush for my order. I know it was going to take a while with the amount of custom work. Plus it's the Holidays and you all were slammed on black Friday , and with the free shipping on the 1520's...

I'm just happily waiting on the Pack MAX and slowly building my Thunderhawk.

I also kind of knew how long it would take from the custom 1520 I ordered over the summer...

There is only so much a few people can do in a day.
