Quick word of warning- since I was spraying with no sunlight, in the garage, with the lights not working, some bits of models aren't sprayed. and it seems my chaos black spray doesn't like metal. And audax has been broken in two. and a sternguard model has an arm off.
and since I was basically in darkness, the models aren't completely covered. But I said I'll post pics today, and so I will.

ähm.... who primes in the darkness? i am always astonished at what difficulties people tend to make up for themselves....but to rest your sould yesterday i sprayed already black primed minis grey again and had to do so a second time as it si sometimes hard to aim perfectly^^

the damage is but due to your working in the dark and not actually due to black primer? that would be a case against gw then^^
then your´ll probably get a muillion pounds for compensation...

nah, I got a mini completely over the front, everything. As soon as it hits metal- it's like a wash. It went into the recesses.
I don't normally spray in the dark, but it's because I felt I'd left you waiting too long already...

hmmm sounds a bit if the mini is on the greasy side... did you wash it in dishsoapwater a bit before attempting to prime it? if not then there ciould be a thin layeer of oil/fat (your hands will have someon it on default as it is a natural thing) and when you manhandle the minis the oil rubs on the mini... so the spry wont stuck to the mini but to the fat and then run down as how its wiorks with a duck....

DKoK don't have veterans, they have engineers- less options, carapace armour and shotguns standard (so basically vets with less wargear options, minimum of 5 men and 40 less points.
Second dread, I haven't decided. I had a rifleman, but it really doesn't do so well, unless it comes to skimmers or mech- my usual gaming opponents run MEQ without transports. I was thinking having a MM and DCCW w/ HF...hmm...yeah that. I'll edit it now.

^^ well i just liked the look... i think the further i get into fully painting an army the more i will think deeper about what to do with my soldiers and here i get the beating for buying cheap minis via ebay as i have prebuilt minis and have to life hiw they were made...

I'm buying 3 infrantry squads and 3 cyclops drivers off a friend, so It'll be hopfully finished before the end of the year...

Nah, Think about it- £50 from birthday, £5 a week, and then £100 for christmas- that's £370 this year.
...but then...Xbox live...and the occasional packet of gum...about £320-£350 on 40k.
that's the battleforce, 33 men, FW cadians (inc. Viktor Croaks), cyclops counts-as, bunker, trenches, landing pads, stormravens, dread, magnets, plasticard, blank & raven guard decals and etched brass.

wasn´t refering to the money issue anymore, now i am thinking about painting this horde army...thgis will take ages...

same thing here, what do you think would be arealistic paint aim for a day....? we will count fully painted minis as a counting unit... so if batch painting try to shift this in the counting unit measurable brgmblmb cant find good ending for sentence^^...

50 guardsmen will be...tiresome...but I'll get through it if I have a spraygun. If not, I'll get through it about 5 times longer.
The raven guard? I spray-undercoat them black, and I'm basically done. Just need the shoulder trim, weapon, eyes and purity seals- takes about 1 min per marine after spraying.

well this might actually work...havent thought about the scheme of the ravenguards... well i will be only halfway through by the count of 50...thinking about using the catachan models for mainparts of ground force...

i think your chappy looks really good and you did a good if not finished job on him, the dread with MM looks good for his freehand of flames on the right side... like that a lot...

the rest is mainly very good for their unique poses, the melta bomb of the one marine is a really nice touch as i cant remeber ever seen that modeled on a mini...
one criticism tho, i dont like the tendency to use the midlefinger on powerfists and claws... i guess its like a gardendwarf in some kind of garden... its just a bit dumb... also the "your face here" although it sounds funny is a bit off the scale for a ravenguard... if you want to use that then i suggest doing an angry marine chapter as here it is a must have...

the scouts took a bit to understand as at fisrt i thought these where your IGs...then the thought hit me you used different heads^^....

your super rhino looks cool tho rather unfinished, lots of covering, detailing and gluing still needed...
the mrs. stompa and her handbag looks cool a really nice model^^
the banblade(?) looks good too, tho i idn´t saw much detail beside the occasional drybrush of metal here and there... but the yarric in the pompseat looks good to bust some serious heads in... dd you paint the red on the right side as a former enemy crushed and mashed into oblivion there? priceless^^

the winged guy is my chapter master, Areth Caan. The priest is the IG guy with the massive great fat chainsaw, plastered in still-wet blood.

ahhhh i was confused about that guy with the massive chansaw...thought he was a traitor guard....he looks good, is the gory effect due to glossy varnish?...

and who is the guy with the flamer and the chainsword on pic 45? he loks good, the faces of your minis while they are a bit pale (could be the lights...) look very good, what do you use for skin?

that's my sanguinary priest.
the pale skin isn't the light- in the raven guard fluff, a genetic flaw means the older they get, the darker thier hair and the paler thier skin, until they have jet black hair and white skin, which is why veterans wear white helmets. My scouts have normal skin, tac. marines slightly paler, sarges & veterans pale, captains, libbies and chaplains really pale.
white for the face, then several layers of devlan mud wash. The more layers, the less pale the skin. Worked REALLY well on korvydae. What do you think of him? He's the one with the two-handed hammer and jump pack running.
Oh and yes, gloss varnish. Works well for sweat and lens shine, too.
