There are 2 choices -

pick a different colour or

use the search function.

Seriously ('cause I'm really not that mean) -
Use Iyanden Yellow or Deneb Stone as a base coat.
If you use Deneb Stone & if you have yellow ink then -
a wash of yellow ink with a dab of either chestnut or Gryphon Sepia added.
If Iyanden Yellow, then yellow paint over this.

The hardest part is keeping the prime coat, base coat or finished yellow clean while doing darker colours, be it red blue or black etc.
Good luck.

Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

For my Yellow, I tried Chaos Black Primer, 1-layer Iyaden Yellow, and 2-layers Sunburst Yellow. I am still not happy with the finish and I may add another layer or just use Gryphon Sepia wash and be done with it. If you want a bright yellow, I recommend priming white but sometimes, the white will drown out the yellow making it more muted than bright.

I paint with yellow sparingly, its not that forgiving to covering over if marked with another coloured paint but.
Undercoat - Deneb Stone ensure it an even finish.
Basecoat - the yellow of your choose
Wash/shade - Bubonic Brown or Desert Yellow
Hightlight - White

I used an Army Builder Colour Primer for my yellow basecoat ("Daemonic Yellow"), over a thin layer of white spray primer. Fill out any soft areas with Sunburst Yellow -- that'll make a gleaming yellow color. The problem is there's not a lot of detail in the recesses until you wash it.

A yellow spray primer over black would give you more shadow, but the basecoat will be darker.

I suggest spray or airbrush for yellow -- save yourself time, or you'll be doing Iyanden + Sunburst coats forever.

Gryphonne Sepia or Devlan Mud washes shade yellow well, but a lot of it will make the yellow coat more mustard color and/or dirty -- which is the effect I wanted with my Lamenters. For slightly darker shades of yellow you can try Vallejo's Transparent Yellow, and your Marines will look like slices of American cheese.

You can see my Lamenters thread for a before / after of the yellow on a vehicle.
