So, this list (or variations there of) has been working well for me recently. The group I play in is usually competitive in that we really don't care what type of army you bring. we usually go "no hold barred."

Just knock off the Cold One Cav and the Oldblood on Carosaur and you have a legal 2250 list as well. Between the slann and the two skink priests I usually own the magic phase. The temple guard are a good anvil unit and I usually keep my engines and blocks of saurus close so they can support the temple guard. The Carnosaur goes with the cold one cav, and they are used to crush flanks. Any comments?

Well, i was reading this forum, then thought of posting my army list (I have a short attention span) and so just clicked the "new topic" button not realizing what forum I was in. In all of the other Forums I post on, you write your post THEN decide what category it's in.

All the football stuff aside, I'm glad folks in your area don't care about comp because you have just about the minimum core points possible, multiple Engines, Slann tooled up as much as possible, big temple guard unit, etc. etc. that you can make.
15% of your points are spent on core choices = usually pretty bad

It's true, there is NO comp here in Utah. I usually tried to get in more core, and some Salamanders, but I always got beat pretty bad because that wasn't the way it's played here. Usually, I had A slann that wasn't nearly as tooled up, same unit of temple guard, one MAYBE two engines and A LOT OF SKINKS, but it just died. So I decided to start playing about the same way.
