So, I really want to expand my SM force, I already got AoBR & 3 extra SM (hooray for free minis P=)

I was thinking about a 1000 pt force, with some really bad ass heroes

a good way to chuck 465 points into any salamanders list is a land raider redeemer, with a multimelta and extra armor, and a squad of 5 thunder hammer / stormshield terminators.

will run you about $100, maybe a bit more, for the models.... but man, you really do need them in most cases. They are worth their weight in gold when you play against nob bikers or any other deathstar units that just need to be put down.

if you want a badass hero in there, you can throw in a librarian terminator w/ null zone and avenger... its extremely powerful. if your using vulkan he'stan, don't bother with a chappy, as you already have some re-rolls to hit on your hammers.

Assault Terminator box i believe comes with enough CC weapons to fit unit of 10.

Which means you can pass the extras onto AOBR termies.

yea, the problem is those terminator boxes only come with 5 sets of shoulder pads, so the AOBR ones you convert with lightning claws will look wierd without shoulder pads. You can always buy awesome looking terminator shoulder pads for salamanders from forgeworld, but they are probably like $25 shipped.

I think that you should get the assult terminators box because Salamanders Thunder Hammers are master-crafted.

Don't bother with lightning claw terminators if you are salamanders, thunderhammers and storm shields are superior if you have vulkan he'stan.
