I'm planning on doing an Ork Nobz themed army, maybe Flash-Gitz, but I need help with coming up with a good colour scheme. I know that I want to do a Bad Moonz army but I don't know what colours to use and how to paint the skin . I know that I will get a Ork Nobz box set (Gubbinz! ) and Lootas box set, then assemble the Nobz and Loota guns, then assemble the Burnas, has anyone got some tips on this too . Some advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks .

Bad moons use excessive yellow on virtually everything. Yellow and black scheme is the way to go here, introducing it in checker patterns, triangles of alternating black and yellow etc and big black circles with the bad moon glyph in the middle.

There are lots of articles on the webs about how to paint ork skin btw.

NO FLASH GITZ! They suck horribly and you will just stop playing 40k after using those!

I'm painting my ork army in the Bad Moon scheme. I found the Flash Gitz were fun to make, but as (._.) put it, not that good on the field (even though I still continue to play 40k and look forward to playing them in an apoc game sometime!)

I have some pics in my gallery of a painted squad of boys. I will tell you the colors I used.

Skin: First, used Orkhide Shade over black primer (although, I will admit that not all the boys got primed , I learned the hard way...ALWAYS PRIME!). Then, followed that up with Snot Green, then washed with Thraka Green and finally highlighted with Goblin Green.

Clothes: The pants are simply Chaos Black. The shirts and boots are Tausept Ochre base, followed by Golden Yellow. The belts are Calthan Brown with Snakebite Leather over them. These were then washed with Devlan Mud.

Weapons/Silvery bits: All the weapons were painted Boltgun Metal while the armor plates, metal boot tips and buckles were painted Chainmail. These were also washed with Devlan Mud.

Teeth and bones were painted Bleached Bone and the eyes/tongues are Blood Red.

Wow thanks for all the answers, also I won't use Flash Gitz in the end because Orks are rubbish at shooting so there is no point, plus they are quite expensive points wise, although I'll still get the Burna Boyz (Imagine 15 power weapons, two attacks each, beefy!!!)

yeah i know one thing my freind does is loads 2 trukks/battle wagons(sometimes 1 some times the other) with them and does crazy drive by attacks haveing the first vehicle make a fire line so enemys cant advance. then puts flamers in between a squad to kill the middle guys then because of haveing to be 2 in together they walk in to the fire... So funny
