Does anyone know?

I am doing 'alternative' Rough Riders using a completely different model.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

50mmx25mm rectangular cavalry bases is the 'normal' size for them as they are horse cavalry.

I've also seen them on the 25mmx70 (ish) bike lozenge bases, 40mm round, and 60mm round.

Mine are on regular 50mmx25s, but they are riding "Akira" style bikes.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).

Thanks, old bean!

Mine are going to be Tobsen Monowheels, so perhaps a 40mm or 60mm round would work best.

I considered the Tobsen Monowheels, great models! Are you fielding Praetorians?

chromedog, did you scratch the bikes?

Mine are on bike bases, as I like the coherency of rounded bases, but they are horses.

I'm pretty sure that GWs lozenge shape bike bases are the safest bet.

Yes, I'm going to do an entire army using non-GW miniatures. The vehicles will all be wheeled, for desert warfare. I will use the Wargames Factory British colonials for the infantry.

I've used 40mm round bases for my RRs in tournaments and never had complaints.

A Squeaky Waaagh!!

Meercat: "All eyes turned to the horizon and beheld, in lonely and menacing grandeur, the silhouette of a single Grot robot chicken; a portent of evil days to come."

Anyone have any pictures of these Tobsen Monowheels?

Please note that the Vickers Gunner in the Tobsen pictures is a Copplestone Miniatures figure.

No, I adapted some old VOID viperwing bikes with sentinel pilot legs, catachan heavy weapons torsos and a variety of arms and heads.
The bikes are a more realistically scaled model for the riders. SM/scout bikes are too large IMO.
