My local GW is running a Blood Bowl tourney next month and i have just acquired my Amazon team from Mailorder.

I know nothing about the fluff for these girls, but I'll hazard a guess that they're supposed to be dark-skinned. Which leads me to my question: Does anyone have/know of a good tutorial for painting dark skin tones? It really never dawned on me until i physically got hold of the models that i have never seen a GW mini painted with anything other than a caucasian/alien skintone.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Amusingly enough, the vast majority of pics you see of them have them painted up with light skin. That said, there's a good discussion in the Painting and Modeling Tutorials section about painting skintones. I believe it's still on the first page. Yeah, check it out here: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/268517.page

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack

IIRC they are fair skinned, stranded Viking women I think was the fluff.

Because in the Grim Darkness of the distant past there were only white folks.
