so when I have a jump infantry unit, and I choose to use their jump packs do they move an extra D6?
I was confused by this after reading the ork codex for stormboyz, and not understanding their jump pack rules

"Jump infantry" BGB pg. 52. If you choose to use the jump packs they may move up to 12". However if the codex has different rules for your stormboyz use those instead.

Jump Infantry move 12", as described on page 52 of the rulebook.
Ork Stormboyz get an additional D6 movement on top of the regular Jump Infantry movement.

The better question is after the jump move you running during your shooting phase into difficult terrain, do you have to take a dangerous terrain test??

Running doesn't use the jump pack so no. At that point your running on foot like a normal infantry. You can also nominate to move like a normal infantry in your movement phase with most (all?) jump infantry and just move 6" (D6" for difficult) instead of 12".
