I was wondering if the Storm Trooper doctrine which allows them to re-roll their deep strike dice works when they deploy via grav chute insertion (they are deployed as though deep striking) from a Valkyrie or Vendetta. It seems to me as though it would, just wondering if anyone else had an opinion, or actually knew something about this.

Why not? They deploy through deepstrike from the path of the Valk. STs doctrine states they may reroll scatter from deepstriking. Makes sense to me.

agreed. if you're using the deep striking mechanic (place one m.odel, roll scatter, etc), they get to reroll. it makes sense ruleswise and fluffwise.
