Hey guys I was asked to sculpt the trophy for one of our local tournaments taking place this year. Now I have had a good amount of experience sculpting but am by no means a master. I have never done a trophy and am really stumped thinking of ideas on what to do for it. Anyone have any good ideas for a 40k based trophy that isn't to incredibly complicated but still fun to do (so no taking a model and putting it on a plinth)? Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I'd second a clenched power fist.

Or just a 'normal' marine armoured gauntlet. Make it nice and battered and battle-damaged, so that non-MEq players can think of it as a battle trophy torn from an enemy

My trophies are usually based off whatever I'm fighting normally. When it was my Nids against Tau IG and Ultra Marines I remember having bought an entire box of fire warriors to be eaten by my fex's. It's a great way to taunt your friends, especially when you're roflstomping them and they're changing your rules to nerf you.

A 25% size servo skull could be nice.

Bad idea, GW probably copyrighted the idea of a demon-shaped trophy. And I for one don't want GW sending out any more C&D notices...think of the trees!

Anyway, maybe not a life-sized Space Marine helmet, but a miniature helmet 2-3" tall mounted on a plinth sounds cool.

you're really annoying mate
a life sized one, with bullet holes, and chipped paint and everything would be AWESOME!!
