I'm planning to include an inquisitor to my IG army to counter deep striking and drop podding units (or anything of the sort).

But I'm confused on how to build my inquisitor unit. Should I chose the lord version for his extra wound and LD or just the plain inquisitor for his lower points?
I'm planning to give him a terminator armor, psychic hood,Icon of the Just, psycannon and storm shield.

Can anybody please give an idea how to compute for the inquisitors points?

i'd say an =I= lord if you're giving him a hood. having that ld. 10 will make it worth it in my opinion.

i also keep mine much cheaper than what you're suggesting to run yours with.

not sure what you mean by this? it breaks it all down pretty well in the DH codex, imho.

If you want the Psychic Hood, take the Inquisitor Lord. You could just pump the normal Inquisitors LD with Acolytes but the net effect would be about the same.

You are aware that the DH SS is not what your casual storm shield is nowadays right?

technically, you buff the ld with hierophants, as acolytes are another type of henchmen, but yes that is how I do it with my inq.

I would get a inq lord if I want to also get assassins, otherwise I use the elite inq, as the IG elite slots tend to not maxed out.

For Witchhunters - pg 20, 26 28 (wargear costs and the two Inquisitor types)
For Daemonhunters = pg 16, 22, 24 (as above)

Add the cost of the Inquisitor to the cost of each piece of wargear and you have your total cost.

the nice thing is that are an additional2 wounds and at least 4 cc attacks, and best of all even if they die the inq keeps the ld 10.

that's funny, i was told that the hierophants didn't stack? so to get ld 10 you had to run the =I= lord. looking at the'dex, i think they don't stack. i hope i'm wrong. it's about 16 points cheaper to run the 2 hierophants, than the =I= lord.

How much points is a terminator armor for a lord inquisitor?

20pts for terminator armor.

Does the inquisitor lord need such luxurious wargears? Since his task is standing in his vehicle, to resist psychic powers and to survive (at least) until the last deepstriking enemy has landed...

I also am curious as to why you would drop so many points on the IL when he should be just sitting in a transport.

If you are only concerned with the Hood go with the GK Brother Captain, LD 10 psychic hood and a little extra CC to stick with your CCS.

but then you lose the Mystics and the shooting at deep striking units. with the =I= lord you get both.
