I do not know if this is the right forum to post this in, but I hope I can get some answers. In the daemonhunters codex, Inquisitors can take Land Raiders as a transport, does it mean dedicated, or just that they can be embarked in one?
Thanks.
Sorry for the confusing title.

Any time a transport is available through a unit's options, it's a dedicated transport.
It's also possibly worth pointing out for the sake of clarity that Inquisitors can't take transports. Their retinue can.

Yeah, I know.
'Nother question I would like to ask if dakka has the answers, does this mean that I could have a list, with x3 Heavy Support land raiders x3 Inquisior+retinue Land Raiders x1 Inquisitor lord LR and x1 special character Inquisitor Lord LR? Total of 8 land raiders, is just, just... Win, in my eyes.

Fielding a total of 8 LR in a game would cost you heavily in the points dept. though. They can't take objectives either as they are never troops.
So make sure you can get your necessary troops & HQ selections. Then if you have the points I don't see why not, however you are severly limiting your effectiveness in objective-based games.

You'd need a Grand Master or Brother Captain to take any LRs as Heavy Support choices. But the special character Inquisitor Lord doesn't have LRs as an option, so that'll work out evenly. Maximum of 7.

No, he gets a transport, read his entry, about the retinue, and *blah* just like another inquisitor with a retinue *blah*

The point is, you have to take a GK Hero as an HQ to unlock heavy selection GK Land Raiders, which leaves only one HQ slot open for an Inquisitor Lord,be it a special character or not. At the bare minimum, a legal DH list can max out at 7 Land Raiders at 2052pts.
