Due to the new nids comming up soon ive decided to put my current nids on hold to start a quick daemon army.
Due to how popular nids will be i dont want to use the same army as every fether around, so ive gone back to the idea of a daemon army.
Origionally i was tempted to go with basic models, but i wanted a more personal touch to the army.
Ive also come to a stand still with a few ideas which i need some help with.

1: Skull taker: Want him to be in a chariot.
The extra stats are too good to pass up, he can also go off fex/trygon hunting on his own then.
The chariot will be pulled by a jugger, but how to go about making the actual chariot frame?
The warriors of chaos one just looks too small and basic, its also slanted which i dislike.

Pics:

Thats the actual jugger ill be using to make sure it stands out.
Ill possibly be throwing it onto the new oval base, since its about the only one that it will fit on (plus i like rounded bases over the squared ones)

2: Herald on juggernaught: Ill be getting this one as a 2 part buy.
Since i dislike the current one (looks too basic) ill be using the FW one.
He will be on a slightly converted jugger like skull takers, but not as stand out ish.
He will also have his hell blade converted so its more of a 2 handed halberd, since i wanted some variation in the army.

3: Blood thirster: Metal, clunky, poor design, see where this is going?
The current GW one looks like pure gak, so ive opted to do a minor convertion for one instead.
Ill be using the FW daemon prince with a set of the old plastic wings GS'ed to him, since its a little bigger and looks 1,000x better.

(i may remove the skulls hanging from his nuts and replace them with sloth at some point )

4: Blood crushers: Dont really have much option here.
Im going to have to pay the full £18 per crusher (This makes me sad) and not for just a few either -_-
I plan on fielding a unit of 5, and then a 2nd unit of 4 with the herald.
About the only work ill do to these will be swapping out the riders for the plastic letters so i can convert and change poses alot more. (i may also hack up a few crushers and re-pose them)

5: Blood letters: Im happy with the out the box models here.
I see no real reason to change them, except possibly having different weapons in each unit. (basic hell blades, hell blade halberds, hell blade axes etc) Simply to add more variety to the units and make them stand out more

6: Flesh hounds: Now im stuck again.
The metal models cost a fortune (i can live with that) but look like gak, so i need stand-ins for them.
Thoughts so far have been using the chaos warhounds with GS collars, or if i feel rich, i may convert the HE lions.
Any other ideas please? (prefer to work with plastics)

7: Princes: I may just go with the current daemon prince, but make some small changes.
1 will have wings (ill go with dragon wings) the other will be on foot.
Im still open to ideas on this one though

8: Soulgrinder: Ill be running a soul grinder with both attacks, but i cant stand the current model
So, rather than going convertion heavy ive got one of these on the way:

The blood impaler looks great!
I fell in love with it, so it had to make the list

Also, any and all ideas are appreciated and wanted please.
Thanks

What about also adding daemons of the other Gods? With this I don't mean that you should include actual Daemonettes and such in there, but convert models into Khornate like figures who count as the other daemons.

the blood slaughterer/impaler, though a nice mdoel is too small. now, i wouldnt have any problems with it in games, but tfg probably would. sooo why not place him on the legs of a defiler? simple conversion and it looks great. Also, why not buy some of the metal bloodletters (the ones before the plastics) now theyre nice sculpts (imo) and they could count as heralds or something. i dunno, just some ideas.

What about letting those old Bloodletters count as Plague Bearers?

Malika: Ive been tempted to go with other daemons, but khornate versions.
but to be honest mate, i plan on running a daemon army from each god after a while, i just want to build them 1 at a time lol.

Ghosty: Its not actually that much smaller mate lol, if people do start to have a problem with it, then i can allways cut and re-pose the legs with spacers in them to make it bigger.

thanks

Dude, if you are going to build four different armies you could still do this right? You could then have four different kinds of models to represent Bloodletters for example!
