hey peoples.
i'm trying to decide if i want to buy a Manticore from FW or try to make/convert one. i'd love to see pics of peoples converted ones. the only ideas for converting one i have at the moment involve the Whirlwind launcher or Valkyrie missles. i'd also appreciate any advice as well. i'd like to keep it GW legal, but it's not set in stone.

Here's mine

Whirlwind launchers on a chimera/plasticard hull with tracks from a Star Wars mini.

Me feeling is the Whirlwind works fine, I use counters to mark off how many missiles have been fired.

and mine...

i used the V stands from the IG heavy weapons sprue, and magnetized the ends so you can remove the missiles...

Yes, they are from the valkryie. I am looking for bigger missiles. Someone suggested using those plastic tubes attached to the roots of flowers/orchids....

Here's mine.

Next to my Hydra turret.

The hull was salvaged in a garage sale. It now has a new scratchbuilt hull but I don't have pics yet of the hull.

Here's mine:

Plasticard and valk bits mainly (including the missiles), with some random stuff thrown on to tech it up. Moving the part with the turret ring back alters the shape of the chimera a bit, making it look heavier. More pics in the gallery. Missiles are removable so I can keep track of how many I fired; they're lodged in a bit of plasticard I-beam, which works just fine.
