So im making a marine drop army, but 35 bucks for each drop pod is pretty pricey,
so i was wondering of anyone could show me how to make my own drop pods, that
look worthy of warhammer, as in no coke can drop pod, or pencil night bringer
my gaming group is not a friend of proxies.

If anyone could get templates that would be fantastic.

honestly anything that's going to look decent might end up costing you 35 bucks worth of time and effort, if not actual materials. If your gaming group is not a fan of proxies that means you're going to be putting some work in. Now, I've not converted a drop pod myself, as I tend to just buy my kits and convert up what GW doesn't sell, but a couple thoughts off the top of my head:

Use an upside down plastic container typically sold in grocery stores in their bulk section full of chocolate or candy, cut five approximately drop-pod shaped wings from cardboard, slap on some decorations like aquilas and other emblems from various plastic kits, use a dollar store ashtray as the bottom engine array (many have what look like depressions in which an engine could be fitted on the bottom, and might pass muster on a brief inspection) and for the top engine grab 2 plastic bottles of cola, use the full cap from one as a shell, then the little circular majiggy that has all those little teeth that normally gets left on the bottle, you know what I mean, take both of those and layer them inside the empty cap and place a marble in the middle so that the little teeth look like rotors and the marble looks like the top of the spinny shaft that would normally drive the engine.
Cheap materials, a lot of work. But if you work it right could turn out decent.

for main body, here's a BAD concept sketch:

oh, and actual templates will NOT be provided by anyone who has any sense, at least not through direct channels. They contravene GW's copyrights and this website could be held liable for them being posted. Requesting templates or posting templates is a definite no no. Don't ask for them, if not so that your threads don't get shut down then at least out of respect for the kind people of dakka. It's just polite.

I just use the templates that GW france had up on their site for a while. Gives you 3 finned pods very similar to the FW dread pods, but suitable for infantry pods as well. I think they cost me something like $5 in materials and a couple of hours each to make.

Due to the various (unenforceable) IP restrictions imposed by GW's legal lap-dogs, I cannot post these templates here. I do have email though.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.
