I still have a soft spot for the old Rudolph, with the Island of Misfit Toys and all that.
Nightmare Before Christmas rules, but that's a movie, not a holiday special. You know what's a good Christmas movie? Die Hard. Holiday Inn is another good one, if you're looking for the old black & white classics.

Some of the ABC Christmas movies aren't bad. I did kind of enjoy A Carol Christmas and (I think) Holiday in Handcuffs.
Oh, and yes: A Christmas Story trumps every other one out there. It's probably the most-quoted Christmas movie of all time, though I'm just taking a guess there and not actually looking it up.
And as long as we're mentioning movies, the original Home Alone (Not the ones after it, they were crap) was a fine movie.

I still like the old Rankin/Bass Christmas specials (Year without a Santa Claus,Rudolph, etc),as well as Nightmare before Christmas.
But my all time favorite is A Christmas Story,it's absolutely one of the funniest holiday movies ever.
I am both selfish and chaotic. I value self-gratification and control; I want to have things my way, preferably now. At best, I'm entertaining and surprising; at worst, I'm hedonistic and violent.
I don't know...I think the Dick Knubbler William Murderface Christmas Special with special guest stars Dethklok is my reigning favorite now. I watched Rudolph on Youtube last night and it was okay, but it seemed kind of dated. I did enjoy it for the nostalgic aspect though.
For watching? nada. just whats on the tube at the time.
Come new years though i always stay up to watch the ball drop in NY, and watch 'Dinner for 1' for the past 7 years as its an Austrian tradition and funny as all he-ll
