You should really have 3 troop choices...so it ends up:

3 Zerker squads.
3 PMs
2 PMs, 1 Zerkers
2 Zerkers, 1 PM

I personally like 2 PMs and 1 zerker as a counter assault unit.

If you go 2 zerkers and 1 PM, they can get plasmas hover near an objective.

If you go 3 zerkers, it's just a mad rush, which isn't bad if everything else is doing a mad rush to the enemy lines.

3 PM's would make small arms futile and would add more to the target saturation with so many mid AV values in the list.

I guess they all can work, it just depends on how you feel like playing it: aggressive or defensive.

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

I'd take a shooty approach and take three units of CSM with two special weapons of the same type each.
If you go for Slaanesh DP's I'd consider NM with doom sirens.

Add at least 1 squad of vanilla CSM. Your opponent will shoot up your zerkers instead of the CSM allowing the CSM to get close in range before the GD possesses the champion. It also saves some points which a chaoszilla army is always short on.

Chaos isn’t a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail, and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some are given a chance to climb, but refuse. They cling to the realm, or love, or the gods…illusions. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is, but they’ll never know this. Not until it’s too late.

Whatever you decide, put them in rhinos, and you'll find that they don't usually get much attention anyway.

I found that a troop unit with 2 meltas or plasma guns mounted in a Rhino can be rather annoying for the enemy.
While its being protected by the steel coffin, it can come close and shoot its special weapons. Ouch.

Thanks for the responses guys, I'm considering this for a tournament but my normal list of the normal lash prince and oblits may be taken, or nothing but basic marines...marine zerg would be fun to see

If you take lash DPs, then you need templates.
For this, I'd take Obliterators and NM with blastmasters and doom sirens.

I agree with noise marines with blastmasters, but since it is chaoszilla, the battlecannons do have templates as well.

CSM squads in rhinos will not get much attention if you have 6 walkers and 2 DPs.
10 CSM in a squad lets you bring 2 melta-guns for 205 points. As the rhino has 2 firing points, its like a match made in heaven.
You will need 2-3 of those squads to grab objectives, or squat on objectives near your board edge.

Your chaoszilla list sounds like a lot of fun. Let us know how it works out!

Normal Chaos Space Marines save you a lot of points and still provide some good antitank with meltaguns etc..

If I lose it is because I had bad luck, if you win it is because you cheated.

The lash's in a Chaos Zilla army are not used to bunch up targets for templates, they are to help get your big things in CC faster.

Unless they don't want to get into combat with what ever it is being lashed...then they bunch up for templates...

Yes, there are things that walkers (even with 6 DCCW attacks each) dont' want to charge.

While that may true in a normal setting, in a chaos zilla list, you have 6-7 big things, and so you gang them up on stuff. There are alot of things that you may think twice about attacking with a dread, but two dreads and a DP, or so, is alot better. This approach also tends to get you stuck in on hordes, which is why I bring 'berzerkers instead of regular marines.
