Subject: Multi Chapter Marine Army?

Would it be legal? For example- 500 points of Ultramarines, Dark Angels, Blood Angels and Space Wolves. If so would I need to take two troop choices and a HQ for each one or could I say, for example, the Ultramarines are the main one and take the compulsaries from that codex or do a mix of compulsaries from all of them?
Just a thought as doing a 1500 point Dark Angel army for my son, a 500 point Space Wolf force for me, already have 1500 of Smurfs and want to do 500 of Blood Angels when the new codex comes out...

No, it's not Legal as in you couldn't use it in a tournament, but for fun I'm sure someone would play you.

Just do something to link them all together visually, like base them the same way and I wouldn't have a problem with a multi-chapter army.
The only thing is you have to use the Space Marine codex when you combine them. There's no mixing DA and SMurfs I'm afraid.

Sure, just use the generic Space Marine codex and call it a "Crusade." That's what I did with mine - it was nice to be able to paint different chapter colors, rather than pounding out Imperial Fists yellow or Ultramarines blue all the time...
Looks very striking visually, too!

Well, its perfectly legal to play friendly games with two or more FOC's.
Make sure that the opponent(s) can use the same FOC's.
