Was just kind of wondering how this list would fair.

Libby and Kantor hang in both Sternguard Squads, Tac Squads huddle up in Rhinos and Capture/Contest. The Predators are the iffy part for me, I thought they would do so/so against hordes, but then again I rarely go competitive.
Tear up/re-write as necessary.

Love it. This HQ is pretty nifty and very reliable. You should be very happy with it. Cryonicleech wrote:Elites 7 Sternguard 2 Combi Plasmas 3 Combi Meltas Rhino 7 Sternguard 2 Combi Plasmas 3 Combi Meltas Rhino Dreadnought Drop Pod
I do love Sternguard, but I shrink em a bit and put them in a Razorback, then they can put the hurt on any army. Also I would drop the combi plasmas, I am always just to scared to put them on expensive troops, especially for just one shot. You should put a Las/ TL PG on the RBs. Is the dread just regular and naked? What do you have on it? I say drop the Lascannons on the TS and go with the Flamer, HB or MM, Combi-Melta mix. That gives you variety and plenty of power. I am not a very big fan on Troop based las in general though. Other then that keep as is. Cryonicleech wrote:Heavy Support Predator Autocannon Heavy Bolters Predator Autocannon Heavy Bolters Predator Autocannon Heavy Bolters
While I love the Pred, I say substitute two with Vindicators. That will probably be a bit more effective. What does this add up to exactly? I don't have my codex with me, but I think it should come up to be about 1850 like you want. If I was you I would throw the two HQ in to a Tactical Squad. Combat squad them and put the Sarge and the Flamer in one with an HQ and the heavy weapon team in the Rhino and have them camp on objectives. That is just my two cents though.

It adds up to a good 1850, I wasn't solid on most of the stuff in there.
Yeah, I'm probably gonna throw out the Combi-Plasmas. Not too keen on shrinking, but your point makes sense. I'll try it.
Naked Dread with standard MM. I was hoping he could blow up a Land Raider or something before getting shot back to hell.
As for the Tacs, HB, Combi-Flamer and Melta was another thing I wanted to try, mainly for flexibility purposes.
Vindicators would probably be better than the Preds, now that I think about it.

Yeah, I understand why you are against shrinking them. The only plus to taking out that extra anti-infantry firepower is that with the Razorbacks you can either put in even more Anti-Infantry shootiness, or make up for the loss of the Tactical Lascannons. But either way they are going to be effective.
Cryonicleech wrote:Naked Dread with standard MM. I was hoping he could blow up a Land Raider or something before getting shot back to hell.
Good plan. Dreads with a MM can ruin a tanks day. I say replace the SB he has with a HF just in case he can stick around for an extra turn.

That seems to be one of the best combos right now.
Cryonicleech wrote:Vindicators would probably be better than the Preds, now that I think about it.
Vindicators are very, very tasty. They can mop almost any unit into oblivion. If you are really adventurous, then I would say take out the pred and throw in a nice little Thunderfire cannon.

I see your point on the Lascannons, and as I'll have some free points from re-working the Tacs, I think I'll switch up for some Razorbacks for the Sternguard.
Thunderfire Cannon is certainly a tasty piece of kit, but I think I'll stick with 2 Vindicators, as I find that bringing only one to the table has gotten a resounding "meh" from me.

Overall, a solid list. Paring down some of the extras to fit in Landspeeders or Storms with multimeltas is probably more useful for quick strikes than the dread + pod.
I agree with the previous advice re: las-plas razorbacks, flamers / HB instead or flamers / MM instead of LC in squads, and the pair of Vindicators.

Well, I'd give one Sternguard unit combi-meltas and the other combi-plasmas,
mixing of weapons dilutes effectiveness.
As Sternguard is scoring, I'd replace one Tactical by Landspeeders with multimeltas and heavy flamers.
