This is what I have for a 750 pts tourney

Daemon Prince- W/Wings, Slaanesh and Lash = 165pts

CSM qty 9- 8-Bolter, and 1 Heavy Bolter.
Aspiring Champion 1- w/ Power Fist = 200pts

Khorne Berzerkers -7
Skull Champion - w/power Fist
Rhino= 243 pts

Obliterators 2 = 150 pts

Grand Total =748 Pts

What are your thoughts? any good? or should I try something else out?

I think 750 is a bit thin to be running anything other than PMs for undersized twin plasma squads. Ignore the Plague Champion upgrades, run them at 7 bodies per, and maybe give them a rhino. Copy this, drop lash and Mark Of Slaanesh, and maybe tag it with a Mark Of Khorne... or just take a Chaos lord with Daemon Weapon and Mark Of Tzeench, though that may put you over on points...

In your squads, doing the chainsword tango

Looks good except that CSM squad. You'd probably be better off with a smaller squad of plague marines in a rhino, with a flamer or 2. If you don't have plague-o's, I'd swap the HB for a ML- you can frag infantry and krak transports, and will probably big a greater threat in a 750 point game than a HB.

-edit- is assuming you are limited on models

so don't even take the Khorne Berzerkers? damn they were fun.
that cuz they cant fire from a distance?

So I cant run this
(8x CSM (AC w/PW, IoS, 2x flamers, Rhino) 215
8x CSM (AC w/PF, IoCG, 2x meltas, Rhino) 225 )
I didn't put any flames on my guys. But i do have the meltas.
I have everything else but that.

Don't underestimate the flexibility of vanilla CSM.

And always underestimate the legality of someone trying to run a 8 or 9 man squad of them with 2 special weapons.... that's not a legal setup, friend.

MoK is kind of a waste on your DP. Before we go any further, what kind of army do you want to build? Are you going to be playing at 750pts or are you just trying to get a small list together to start? Also, is there anything in particular from the background that you want to use?

Yes, you're correct. (It's nearly 6AM where I am.) In which case . . .

HQ

DP (wings, MoS, Lash) 155

Troops

10x CSM (AC w/PW, IoS, 2x flamers, Rhino) 245
10x CSM (AC w/PW, IoCG, 2x meltas, Rhino) 245

Heavy Support

Dakka Pred 100

Total 745

I would have liked to squeezed that PF into the second squad but what can you do?

Fluffy, nothing. At 750, it's tough as nails to deal with. The DP acts as anti AV13+, and is made more difficult to deal with with the MoN.

If it were my own lit, it would be a Defiler instead of the Oblits, but I must say, the oblits do provide that all-comer flavor...

and as far as the 6 am thing goes.... I'm in Cleveland... I know.

Yeah I love the Defiler but Oblits are nice cuz they do everything and harder to kill than the Defiler

I love my defilers.... I've got 3, and frankly, they do one thing that oblits have a bit of trouble doing.... they deal with hoardes. barring a PK (which has to hit), they can tie up a mob of Boyz after thinning the ranks with battlecannon fire, and they don't ID to lascannon fire, either.

they have their advantages...

I was referring to the seven man squad. Just noticed the second one is only six, too bad. I'd have reservations with oblits as well if this wasn't a partners event but if FalconBF is paired with Necrons he'll be sure to have a monolith distracting the enemies. If he ends up with BA, though . . .

You have havocs... you have normal marines... a touch of greenstuff or plastic glue, a needle or an old exacto blade, a bit of paint, and you're all good.

as well as the battlecannon, and letting my vindicator get close enough to unleash it's S10 lovin all over the nearest target....

Then again, i've been known to run a pair of dreads in the same list, so maybe I just have mad love for my grimdark mecha...

Pretty ballsy with so few troops around to loose to friendly fire. But I guess Pm deal with it better than any other. You're sorely tempting me to abandon my Word Bearer project and start a little Death Guard army instead.

Wait... you thought I meant at 750?

No, no, my friend... I run 2 Lascannon dreads at 1500+, and I rarely use PMs in larger games, actually. 1750 and up see berzerkers and the occasional Noise marine squad or 3. PMs are good at the smaller scale for their ability to soak abuse, but the more dice their forced to roll, the worse the outcome....

Admittedly, it's a bit of a glass cannon list, but, hey.... it has some potential...

How do you mean? I have a blast playing Dreads, personally... but I don't play competitively, normally. I'm a social player, so I usually just play fun lists...
