I have never used a nightmare shroud with the Necron lord and I was curious about something. In the entry in wargear section it says instead of shooting you may activate it and all units within 12" take a morale check as if they recieved 25% casualties. If they fail they fall back. So if an enemy unit is within 12" but is in a melee do they take a morale check?? I assume no because a unit in melee that recieves 25% casualties during shooting phase does not take a morale check. Could be yes though because it says all units.
