I'm probably playing an Apoc game on Friday and wanted a superheavy to fit with my marine army, so between 8:30 and 10:30 I made this:

If I can be bothered, I'll give it a quick skim of sealant and a paint job. At some point I'll have to get some heavy bolter etc

Thanks to Kevin Avent for the measurements, though I changed a few to suit the materials.

Reminds me of a set of styrofoam airplanes I had when I was a kid. You'd throw them and they'd kind of glide before crashing. Detail and durability leave a lot to be desired though.

Well that's a good start but more detail is needed. Be careful when spraying it though as IIRC, some chemicals in various sprays cause polystyrene to bubble and melt.

Skimcoat will fix that.

A nice start. I'm using foamcard for the basis of mine (but it will be skinned in 0.2mm plasticard).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That all depends on how well it does on Friday
I doubt I'll have time to do any more work on it before then, other than making a flight stand; if it does well then I'll do a LOT more work on it

So far it's cost me about £5 to build

I approve heartily. No use spending hundreds on a FW model you'll be scared to handle.
