If the army is more for show then for play then I would suggest a wraithlord or two. The look awesome and are easy to paint/convert.
As far a paint scheme when you get your codex look through the painted pages and it will give you some lore and paint schemes for the known Craftworlds.

You can do what the person above posted but if you're going to actually play with it I suggest a squad or two of the Dire Avenger Aspect Warriors. A Farseer with Doom, Guide, and Fortune. And for the rest maybe 3 jet bikes

Farseer w/ doom - 80
10 DA - 120
Serpent w/ shuricannon - 100
8 DA - 96
Serpent w/ shuricannon - 100
