People tend to notice Pariahs. If you're in a crowded room with one, everyone's killing themselves.

I tend to pronounce Tau words like they would be in Japanese.

If the transliteration (or whatever it's called for a syllabary) in the Japanese codex is accurate, the "ui" part is pronounced something like the Wii. So "Shass Wii".

Then again, I think I've been sounding it out as long U followed by long I in my head before now. SHAZE Ow-ee, anyone?

uhh doesn't anyone play Dawn of War here. They kinda say shas'ui everytime you tell fire warrior bodyguards to do something.

Fire warrior body guards? Why in the hell would you use those? I kicked ass with the Tau in that game and NEVER took an Ethereal, kind of like in the real game

And the sar-gent make me laugh.

Ive been saying Wii as well, just curious thanks all

Lol I never used Ethereal in DOW either. But you can get the first bit easy (Shas) with FW. If the unit loses its morale and breaks, and then regains morale, you will sometimes hear, "Get it together Shas'lan" (presumably referring to the rank and file troops). They pronounce it Shahz/Shass.

"Shas" = Fire caste (There's also Water, Earth, Air and Ethereal)
"La" = Warrior
"Ui" = Veteran
"Vre" = Hero
"El" = Noble
"O" = Commander

And I tend to pronounce it with a slight Japanese accent because of the theme of the army as a whole. "Shah swee"

Well in Dark Crusade prior to the first patch you can have an entire army of fire warrior bodyguards. They have incredible range and when full upgraded they hit well over 80dps. Also in campaign you use them

I pronounce it shas Uoo ..

I don't care if I'm wrong.

Look at how I say Chim Ra (chimera)

Kai mere a pronunciation (even if correct) gaks me.

Also making up names in the english language is foolish as the letters have close to no meaning. For example live as in alive and live as in keep on living.
