ok, first thing is first, I ma not copying any GW models.

I want to make some mycectic spores with styrofoam, some green stuff and some random bits.

I don't think that GM will be making this model for quite some time, and I don't want to wait!

So, who here can cast and mold? I have seen some awesome work here, and I would love to hire someone out who can make about 6-12 copies for me.

Check out this article. You should be able to figure it out for yourself with a little money and patience. Good luck.

There are tutorials out there where people use vacuum and such for their casts. Infact someone made a REALLY nice titan (I think 3 warlords but I cant remember) and casted them using vacuum. Just look around you might find something that you can do yourself instead of paying someone to do it. Infact I plan on doing stuff like come this spring for a few ideas I have

if we were talking about loyalist marine or IG vehicles, i'd agree. bubbles and casting defects seem normal IMO in a nid or nurgle sculpt.

with something that large you are looking at using spin casting to get the resin to flow to the outside, leaving a hollow middle.

either that, or figure out how to cut your model into sections for casting, and then build up a hollow shell with the pieces.

SmoothOn has tons of information about casting which may be helpful for you.

Or you could use the spray-foam insulation stuff
Light weight and sturdy enough once it takes some paint.
