I assume it is possible and assume it has been done before. I am working on no prior knowledge of the current models and looking to study up before attempting. Anything helps! Thanks!

Not so sure about the magnetizing, but I know that you could just leave the doors to the rhino unglued and then swap that out for the razorback pieces. I don't have a whirlwind so I can not help you there. I don't know if this helps you any, and I am sorry if it doesn't.

As Iron Gryphon said, the top hatches can be left unglued. That is what I did. I bought an extra sprue with the extra hatch and other pieces you need two of and just built and painted them all up.
