On the Ravenwings pre-first turn scout move can they turbo- boost? Or do they just make a normal bike move?
Cheers, Mick

I was playing against the Dark Angels so don't have the codex, so is that a yes or no?

It's a NO.

As in a specifically worded "MAY NOT turboboost during the scout move" 'NO!'.

Other SM don't have this restriction. DA scouts are slow.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

What's with the attitude Gwar? I asked a simple question. I don't have the money to go and buy every codex in case I someday might play against someone with that army, I have family to support.
Yes I could of looked at my mates codex but he said he wasn't sure so we didn't do it as I said id ask on here, wish I hadn't bothered now...

Well, Unfortunately, Games Workshop PLC own exclusive rights/copyrights/IP etc. for the material contained in the codex. While quoting the rules for the purposes of discussion falls under Fair Use, asking for wholesale reproduction of the rules because you don't want to buy the codex is actually a breach of copyright law and can (and will) result in a Cease and Desist order from Games Workshop PLC, which may (or may not) result in the website www.dakkadakka.com being shut down.

Whether you agree or not is inconsequential.

Be THAT as it may, I don't think answering the question would be an issue.

And, in general, we could use a LOT LESS ATTITUDE in the YMDC forum.

From everyone.

The thing is, I DID answer the question, very clearly. I already got told off for my "attitude" when it comes to this topic (Copyright Infringement) and I have taken heed of it, hence my initial post.

In any case, let bygones by bygones, happy new year and all that jazz.

Let's cool it, guys.

It's fine to ask and answer simple rules queries -- I've done it myself e.g. how many models in a Rough Rider squad, what's the proper base size for a Sentinel.

Copying of big chunks of rules, including extensive point value info (if discussing a list, for example) is not allowed.

We also discourage linking to sources of PDF codex files.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

With a general note that this forum is NOT intended to be used as a substitute for owning an actual rulebook. So if you're playing against someone, and they pull out an odd rule, it's probably worth asking for a peek in their codex.

Apologies if I've broken any rules. As I said it was the first time my mate had used the army and I've never played against them before. Neither of us realised it was actually in the codex we were just going through the rulebook last night which didn't say one way or the other. Also I didn't think giving a yes or no answer would be seen as an infringment, apologies again...

Yeah, it's okay. Some folks make a bad habit of it, and some of our YMTC habitues look very poorly on it.
