Out of the 21,000 points worth of Orks I own my entire gaming group agree that this was the best looking Ork I own not because of the paint job but the pose and the way I modelled his 'evy Armor. The paint job was done by AshAxe, not because I am lazy but because he was bored with painting Marines and wanted something different. I don't mind since I only have like 570+ Ork models left to paint. 'Ere We Go!
Nob in "evy Armor:
All that went into the Nob was a Stock Nob from the Nobz box set, and a large section of the upper part of the rear passenger armor of the new Ork War Trukk. Very easy build with outstanding results IMHO. I have seen riot shield orks before but they were so plain looking but when I saw the new trukk armor and the line breaking it into two the dying hampster in my head started to run in its wheel. There was no need to orkify it or tone it down. Just like Goldilocks it was just right. Nothing like rushing headlong into Marine Boyz with a heavy piece of armor between you and the killy bitz.

Very nice, I can see why they all love it over at your local store. I love the shield/door. Very nice job.

Well, adding in the next two models that they liked also which are my custom Mad Dok Grotznik and the Cheeky Nob. I hated the GW production Mad Dok because he looked like he was disco dancing. So using random orky bitz and some guitar stings here is what I came up with. I like this one much better than the GW model.
Mad Dok Grotznik:
Ok, now my Cheeky Nob is not much of a conversion but will go to show that you do not have to do much to a stock model to completely change the feel of it. The Orginal model had a pose that was just to silent movie villan-like. So, one little addition and now the model looks more like how an Ork should be. One pointy finger from the Battlewagon kit, a stock nob from the plastic nobz kit and five minutes you get a Cheeky Nob.
Cheeky Nob:

i can't beleive your looking at the light source LH! BTW the shield ork really gives the image of orks using whatever they can get their hands on! I think I'll be starting a blood axe army. (that's the ones who ally with humies right?)

I am sorry about the dim lighting. You are seeing only the overhead source LED lighting is all I have installed into my photo area so far. I yet to install the side lighting since I need to install more outlets in my hobby area. All the updating the previous owners did to the house they only kept the orginal two outlets in the basement.
I hope people use this idea for the riot shield nob since it was such in easy conversion. Imitation is the best form of praise.
