Try to call GW and see if you can order just that part or look online for someone who might have one.

Don't know the part in question so not sure if you are SoL or not. If you are SoL and must order a new gun, don't bother. I and a few others can help you to get an airbrush for around the same or a little more (and will be better than any GW piece of crap sprayer).

Best of luck.

Maybe check ebay and see if someone has one that they are selling as parts (odd I know but it could happen).

SoL = shi* out of luck.

Not sure what you paid for that spray gun (too lazy to look up the cost on GW) but could get a decent airbrush for maybe a little more, one that won't break on you so easy but hopefully yours can be replaced.

I made the mistake of dropping that same little screw/ needle part outside after using my GW "flamer" and only found it months later. The little rubber gasket was dry and cracked; the air in the cans slipped out 1/2 the time.

Long & short of it is that I borrowed my friend's compressor & hooked it up to the GW gun. It was AWESOME to the point that I would never go back to propellant cans. I spent $50 on four cans over a course of 3 months which would have been much better spent putting $$$ towards a compressor. I would strongly suggest the same for anyone else.

I'm fairly certain that GW commissioned Badger to make that spray gun, which means that Badger parts and compatible with it.

A new day, a new time zone.

On a tangent, you're always going to better off with a compressor rather than using propellant cans, so if you're going to be sticking with model painting for any length of time, you should invest in one.

The spraygun is 100% compatible with other hook-ups, connections and whatnots. I use mine on an air system hooked up to a compressor.

Well don't get too down; the regulator on my air compressor went south today and I spent the better part of the day replacing it and building a new manifold for it.

+1 on getting an air compressor over propellant.

And stay far away from 'Hobby' compressors; they are crap! Go to your local DYI store and pick up a 4-6 gallon tank like this

You will also need a moisture trap

Then you can spray your life away

What do you mean 'hobby' compressors? The small ones?

Yeah. Not all are bad, just more spendy than they are worth.

$80 will get you one with a 2gal tank from Home Depot or Lowes, whereas a hobby compressor with a 1/2g tank will set you back well over $100.

Though hobby ones are generally very quiet. I have a Iwata Smart Jet that has no tank, it doesn't pulse though and it's barely louder than a refrigerator hum. The other one I have with 2G tank is loud enough I have to yell over it to be heard.

So if you want ultra quiet, GOOD air supply look to an Iwata compressor. If you will do most work out in the garage or outside and not late at night look to get a "shop grade, aka loud as hell" compressor.

This $10 airbrush should be about the same, without the GW flamer design.

A new day, a new time zone.

Although I think it would be appropriate to point out that there is a slight difference between sprayguns, which is what that and the GW one are, and actual air brushes.

The GW flamer would be good enough to do base coating, correct?

Sure, it's fine for that.

It just isn't fine enough for detail work.

Badger accessories fit it fine (and it - batch#1 - had the same flaws as a Badger basic can-powered one back in the early 80s.)

That's essentially it's entire purpose. It's like the difference between one of those big, broad poster markers with the half inch wide tip, and a colored pencil. If you just want to color a large area fast, you use the marker. If you are going to be doing actual artwork, the pencil is going to be the better tool.

I had a similar problem, I lost the metal pin that screws into the can.

I emailed customer services and they sent me a new one if I sent them the old one.

They do not do spare parts.

If you're using it for any length of time you ought to get a compressor. I'm using a little Iwata with a moisture trap and regulator. What's more, it comes with a wide variety of connectors.
