One of the modifiers for the vehicle damage table is AP1=+1. In an assault, a power weapon has basically the same AP capability of an AP1 weapon, so in an assault against a vehicle, using a unit that has a power weapon would the hits scored by the power weapon add one to the vehicle damage table the same way as AP1 weapons?

what? no, ignores armour saves is not the same as AP1. You get no bonus.

A power weapon does not have AP1, so no. Two rules that have some similarities in 40k do not share other effects unless the rules specifically tell us that they do. There is nothing that gives any cc an AP of any kind, altho some cc weapons do have other effects....they tell us about those effects tho in their rules. Chain fists come to mind.

No, a Power Weapon is not AP1. In fact, if anything, it would be most similar to an AP2 weapon. However, it is neither AP1 nor AP2 nor AP anything. It has No AP, and has no Penalties or Bonuses against vehicles.
