Move 6 Run, Move 6 Run, Move, Waagh, Assualt. Basically. But your Mileage May Very. Each Ork Waagh has it's own personal style, but most are more flashy and choppy then shooty.
That is generally how you roll with Orks in a 500pt game. most of the time, your opponent cant pump enough bullets into the mobs before you can assault. So you still have tons of boyz left, AND the warboss/nob to creme anything out there. At 500pts Orks are a real bitch of an army to play against.
I wouldn't be afraid of that list with my current Tyranids 500 point list. As it stands this is my build at that level.
HQ:
Tyrant (
ES, T. Sacs, Fleshhooks 2x Devourers) - 123
Tyrant (
ES, T. Sacs, 2x Devourers) - 121
Troops:
Spine Gaunts (WoN) - 64
Spine Gaunts (WoN) - 64
Heavy Support:
Carnifex (
ES, Adrenal Glands [+1 I] Spine Banks, 2x Devourers) - 124
My strategy is to screen with gaunts and go second. I focus fire on a squad with my Tyrants and Fex and in an average turn kill 22 out of cover, or 13 in cover. If I can get you out of cover, and it isn't the squad with the warboss, there is a 27.3% chance that mob runs and doesn't come back. Of course I'd much rather focus on the squad with your warboss in it as a small chance he runs is worth it.
Next turn can either Waaagh! but if I played it right you'll need a 5 or a six to reach my gaunts and that gives me an extra turn to remove that first squad with a Tyrant and put some hurt on your other squad. Or you can shoot and possibly put a wound or two on a Tyrant or my Fex. Next turn I still shoot away your last squad and half kill the other so it doesn't change too much.
Then again I think that Nids are the nastiest list at 500 points and have yet to be proven wrong, so I might just have a codex edge there.
