I'm looking for a list maxing out all the fast slots with SB's, but I'm not sure what would work well to assist them. In a 1850 list I'd have around 975 left. I'd really love to hear your thoughts. The storm boys units would have a nob with claw and boss pole. The third squad would have zagstruck

Thanks!

Nob bikers. They are elites, so they don't cause Force Organisation problems. They can strike at the same time too.

Alternatively, take Wazdakka and take bikers as troops.

Either way, you want your entire force to arrive at roughly the same time.

I would suggest mech orks instead. If your reserves do not come in the second turn then the nob bikers or wazdakka with bikers troops will have to delay their attack and that can be catastrophical if you are facing dakka armies (tau, eldar and so on). And at the same time assaulting with only a part of your army might not cut it.
Orks are a spiecies of great close combat prowess and that's a fact however don't rely on that too much. If outnumbered they may fall even to armies not necessarily strong in cc like IG for example. Orks are best if all their forces manage to strike at once.
I would use more durable IMO mech orks to support them. With a KFF mek providing cover saves suddenly even trukks are not that easy to shoot down.
This is obviously just a speculation because it might happen that all works out perfectly and all goes smooth. However be always prepared that something might go wrong. I might not be 100% right. But it's an issue worth reconsidering.
Also stormboyz without Zagstruk will charge no sooner than on turn 3. Mind you only Zag can make them come and charge and not without any consequences to it. You have to also keep that in mind.

I would run them with a bunch of Trukk Mobs or even Battlewagons that are full of Boyz. Try taking a couple Wagons or something. I found that wagons work best if loaded with Boyz. Use the awesome power of numbers when it comes with orks. Their so cheap and so amazing in CC, its almost stupid not to load them in battlewagons. Also, take the KFF Mech. Hope this helped.

Fast trukks or nob bikes would seem the smart angle, that way the Stormboys can complement a simultaneous ground assault, aiming for targets behind terrain or on buildings etc which are otherwise difficult for your ground troops. And some kommandoes too, to maximise early enemy confusion and disruption?

But I've also seen stomboys (although not 60 of them!) in a horde army, running behind slugga boyz then jumping over them once the enemy are in range, for a devastating first assault wave.

That is one of my favorite things to do, Clang, it truely is hillarious when it happens too.

Though, 3 mobs of 20 Stormboyz w/ a Nob w/ PK and BP is 840 points.
