At present my camera has been "borrowed" by a relative, so I'm reduced to using the camera on my mobile. This keeps photos in gif format. I can send them as e-mail attachments, but not add titles or blog notes. Bearing in mind I'm technophobic and start wibbling at the first mention of computerese, can someone explain, in words suitable for a slowed chimp, how I can upload photos from phone to here, with captions and notes? Thanks.

Can you transfer the photos from your phone to a computer? That would make it easiest for
me to explain this here.

When you're logged in to dakka, you can go to the following:

The Gallery: http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/

Upload your wargaming images: http://www.dakkadakka.com/core/gallery-upload.jsp

Follow the steps from there.

Thanks, but I'm trying to do this at work. I can send photos from phone to my hotmail inbox, but can't get them from there to the photos file in "my computer". Suggestions?

Try getting them when you get home from your hotmail if you can't get them at all from work.

Sometimes workplaces block out the extra content in Emails, saves them from dealing with viruses and stuff like that. But if you can see them in the browser you can get them. If it doesn't seem to let you just save the attachments (by clicking the blue words under the list of who it's sent to and above the message itself. At least in the hotmail interface I'm using to help make these directions acurate), right click on the images and go to save as (the wording itself depends on your broweser but it's generally the same thing). Then you can save them onto the computer. Then I guess you can open them in paint or something like that and save them as a jpg. Then upload them to Dakka.
