Eye of Terror. 'nuff sed

Hello everyone!

I started playing WH40k a while ago and have some orks on me with whom I do quite well in battle (won a 1250 pt. tourney last week ) and started thinking about getting a second army. My friend is the one who introduced me to WH40k and he's collecting 2 armies at a time so I have about 1500 pts in all of my orks and he has about 750 eldar and 750 SM. I was thinking about CSM, Tyranids or Tau. I thought of those races because of 1 or more of the reasons below:
a. They look AWESOME
b. They are very resillient (unlike orks)
c. They are very shooty (unlike my orks)

I want to pick something which looks awesome, is fun to play and is very unlike orks so I can try something different. Please comment and help me make my choice by argumenting etc.

Orks - REPAINTED into Ice world orks DA BLOO TIDE WAAAAGH! - around 2k pts.

CSM - Nurgle - - around 700 pts.

Tyranids on Jan 16th.

New codex. Rumors point it to being a nice, fun book.

Lots of options and different builds.

Sounds like a winner for a new army.

Tau are fun and will be very different to Orks, but its very difficult to make a competitive list that can take on any army. If you know who you will be facing they can be very powerful but they are very hard to win with if you are playing a standard list.

Shooty CSM is a good choice, a unit of Thousand sons are great for killing meqs and although you can specialise the army for shooting they can still hurt in CC. They have a vert wide range of units and if you include a mix of shooting and CC units, they can stand againts most armies.

I'd go for either Tyranids or Tau. Tau would probably be the most unique, definitely the shootiest, and are most unlike your Orks, especially since a lot of Tyranid armies are going to start up soon, but Tau are also fairly difficult to play effectively and have some outdated rules. I personally prefer Tau, but Tyranids are by all accounts looking good with the new Codex.
