This just came up in a friendly game. A unit of mine attacked a guardsman and a nearby chimera. I destroyed:wrecked the chimera, and everyone else in the combat completely wiffed. Is that a draw combat? I know that results on a walker count for combat resolution, but what about regular vehicles?

pg 63 Under Vehicles and Assaults, Combat Results: "At the conclusion of a round of close combat against a vehicle there is no combat result"

So you would get no result from destroying the vehicle, and just resolve combat with the other unit, if equal wounds were done to the infantry units, it would be a draw, if one beat the other, then leadership test.

a tank can never be in combat, so it can't be a provider in this case.

SP 1: A unit must be in combat to be counted in the assault roundup at the end.
SP 2: A. Vehichles (space the walkers.) can never be included in a combat. B. On construction of that, a squad that is not in combat, may move.
