I bought a large portion of chaos space marines from ebay a while back and found i was sold some rather old models in the mix of things. I believe the below are old Realms of Chaos Tzeentch Marines? Im really not sure and i was wondering if anybody here could help me.

Those are renegades from the time of Realm of Chaos - Slaves to Darkness.

The ones you have there can be used for whichever god you want to paint them as. Some were obviously designed for a particular god (skull rune horns for khorne or a daemonette faced slaanesh worshipper or one with a mushroom like flamer lower half for tzeentch etc) but the ones you have there, without any obvious markers, can be used for whichever you want.

Yep, just really old chaos renegades.
No specific mark - but you do have two models WITH flamers and two with hand flamers (no longer used).

So are they marines? I plan to ebay them, to help fund my chaos daemons army, as these are of little use to me and i just wanted to give an accurate description.

They are old chaos renegade marines.

Generally just referred to as "chaos renegades" back then - but they are from the Slaves to darkness/Realm of chaos days.

Those models and many others from that era were the core of my original Chaos Space Marine army and I continue to use them occasionally in games. Cool then and still cool.

I once was going to buy some Chaos Renegades off of eBay but they were ridiculously expensive!

Damn I just got into the time machine to when I could hardly see over the counter in my hobby shop and hated taking out the trash for my Mom.

I've got a whole bunch of RT Chaos Marines like that. Love em.

Since the person who started this topic is looking to sell those models, perhaps you could make an arrangement with him to purchase them before he puts them on eBay or such? If not, I see these older models on eBay quite a bit lately and sometimes they don't go that high. You just have to watch as many auctions as possible till you find one that doesn't get up too high in price, then you snag it.

I've sold a lot of older models during the past couple years, but I don't think I'd part with any of my Chaos Marine Renegades unless I really had to do so. They have been a major part of why I got into this hobby since the early days and they still inspire the way I build my newer Chaos models when I convert and kit bash using the newest plastic models. Many of my newest Chaos Marine conversios have tentacles, odd heads, and be-weaponed extremities inspired by the original lead Chaos models of Rogue Trader.

You have some flame throwers, and some assult marines there.

"Chaos Renegades"

When you ebay them make sure you include key words like Rogue Trader and out of production.

and also add "Realms of Chaos"

the far left one is a Khorne Renegade. The others are unaffiliated. The the two with the Flamer were often used as Nurgle.
