I haven't heard too much about Chaos Daemons, except that they're tricky to play with. I like the idea of a tricky army! So... this is a possible list I want to proxy before I decide to buy anything.

I tried to make it fluffy, while still effective...

Daemons have crap for anti-tank though :-/

Well, you are missing some of what I consider essential elements of a Daemon army. So here is my 2 cents for what it's worth.

Skarbrand is inferior to a regular bloodthirster. A regular BT is faster and doesn't give a benefit to the enemy!

Skulltaker is cool, but I prefer him on a juggernaut.

A herald of tzeentch needs to be on a disc.

Your troops choices are way, way too small, IMO. Deamonettes and Bloodletters die in droves to any type of firepower. You need big squads of them to survive, hit with any kind of punch and for objective holding. Plaguebearers are OK in small groups to sit on an objective as they are so resilient.

Soul grinders are not bad, they provide some ranged punch but honestly, the things I feel are necessary in a good Daemon list are:
Masque
at least on unit of Flamers (these, combined with the mask, will wipe out entire units at a time, it is disgusting)
Bloodcrushers (best assault unit in the game, and combined with the mask to overcome their slow speed and the wound allocation rules, these guys are devastating)
Fiends (fast, hit super hard, great unit)

I would go with something more like this:

Masque
BT with unholy might

Bloodcrushers: 6
Flamers: 3
Fiends: 4

Blood letters: 15
Daemonettes: 15
Plaguebearers: 5 (for sitting on an objective)

Screamers: 7 (awesome for busting tanks)

Hopefully some other Daemon players add in their opinions, but that list there is balanced and gives up a lot less KP's.

give the soulgrinders phlegm instead of tongue

also if your going to field daemonettes bring a bit more as they tend to die before they get into combat.

also put skulltaker on a juggernaut and maybe add some bloodcrushers

Not arguing with you guys, just asking questions. I know 0 about Chaos Daemons, never seen them in play ever.

I was thinking his aura could help out the daemonettes. But a flying unit is awesome.

Skulltaker is cool, but I prefer him on a juggernaut.

I was going to put him with the Bloodletters, but if I take Blood Crushers, this works

A herald of tzeentch needs to be on a disc.

He was going to be with the horrors

Masque
She seems VERY squishy on paper. Two wounds and can't join a group :-/

This is anti-troop, I need anti-vehicle though.

dont put the herald of TZ on a disc, put him on a chariot. the stats are better and he becomes a very hard to kill tank hunter.

as already said put skull taker on a juggernaught.

phlegm the grinders.

regular thirster over skarbrand.

the masque is fail dont waste an HQ option on her.

Reecius gives good advice.

Personally I dislike Soulgrinders because of their vulnerability to meltas. Soulgrinder can die to one shot, where a Prince is more resilient/less dependant on chance. The Masque is good, but consider the fact that a Prince with MoS and Pavane costs only 120 points (20 points more) for a more diverse threat and added resilience.

I'd do this:

250 Thirster
100 Herald of Tzeentch, Chariot, Bolt, Legion, MoSorcery

105 3 Flamers
190 6 Fiends of Slaanesh, Unholy Might

105 7 Plaguebearers
158 9 Pink Horrors, Changeling
112 8 Daemonettes of Slaanesh

80 5 Screamers of Tzeentch

140 Daemon Prince of Chaos, Mark of Tzeentch, Bolt of Tzeentch
140 Daemon Prince of Chaos, Mark of Tzeentch, Bolt of Tzeentch
120 Daemon Prince of Chaos, Mark of Slaanesh, Pavane of Slaanesh

1500 points

Has speed, resilience and a broad threatrange...

Whatever you do, it'll take some time to figure out what you want, but it;ll be fun and different to play with...

Good luck.

I really like this list! A few questions though.

I read the BT should always have Unholy Might and the psyker protection wargear, opinions?

Why plaguebearers rather than nurglings?

Daemonettes need to be at 12, gotta shave points somewhere.

Screamers have melta bombs; but with only one attack, how useful are they at taking down vehicles, especially if they move?

Daemon princes are nastiness, but is one Pavane worth it? Seems like something you need multiples of or nothing.
