Hey all, I've got a Deathwing 1,500 point list here. It's pretty simple IMO.

Deathwing 1500
HQ:
Belial (LC/LC): 130

Elites:
Dreadnought (TLAC, ML): 135

Troops:
Terminator Squad 1:
Sergeant (LC/LC/Banner): 25
Terminator (Heavy Flamer): 5
x2 Terminators (LC/LC)
Terminator (TH/SS)
Total: 245

Terminator Squad 2:
Sergeant (SB/PS)
Terminator (Assault Cannon): 30
x3 Terminators
Total: 245

Terminator Squad 3:
Sergeant (SB/Chainfist)
Terminator (Heavy Flamer, Chainfist): 10
x3 Terminators (Chainfists): 15
Total: 245

Heavy Support:
Land Raider Crusader: 250
Land Raider: 250

So here's the game plan;

Belial rolls with the first Terminator squad in the Crusader, going after targets of opportunity. The third Terminator squad goes in the normal Raider, and goes tank hunting. The second Terminator squad is either kept in reserve for Deep Striking purposes, or deployed on the table, depending. The Dread, of course, is my ranged support.

Thoughts?

its pretty well pieced together. maybe a bit more ranged weapon... maybe if possable swap the dread for an ironclad

DA have no Ironclad. Damn the old codex.

This is nearly the same list as i run and i have had much sucess with it.
You wont win any GT`s with it by heck its fun to use.

Argh! I wish I had Ironclads! And two shot Cyclone Missile Launchers, and the updated Machine Spirit, and the 3+ perpetual invul Storm Shields. Bah.

Thanks for your thoughts, all. I'm gonna try this list as soon as I get back. I'm not sure I can beat some of the melta-vet Chimera spam, or the Nob Biker lists of doom, or even something like the new super nidzilla lists that are sure to come once the new Nid codex is released, but heck, I've got a unique army and I'm gonna have fun regardless.

One thing I noticed, I don't think you need five chainfists in the third squad. One or two should suffice. I'm not sure what to put the extra points into but I'm sure you can find some other more worthy piece of wargear.

augustus; that's a good point. Maybe I should put some Chainfists in each squad, just in case I happen to run into a Raider or somesuch I'm not prepared for. TBH, the Chainfists are there because I needed to get rid of a few points, and I really don't feel that the Cyclone Missile Launcher is worth it (at least the Dark Angels one...the Vanilla Marines CML is amazing).
