Having found the rule books and a very old computer game version of this classic, i have found myself spending hours running through some truly gripping boarding actions. I would really like to be able to play this game as it was meant to be played.

Good God yes, this was the first 40K game I played, ended up with both versions.

Up to 4 player could play, so mixed with good friends and beer usually resulted in a good night.

Plus it would be a great way of introducing new players to the game.

GW won't re-release it as they didn't release it in the first place. It's not their game.

Advanced Space Crusade is a possibility, though.

It was released like space hulk as a joint effort between GW and MB games, but GW retained most of the rights to the project so it's perfectly possible for them to release a special edition.

Space Hulk was never a MB game. It was a GW release.

Space Crusade, Heroquest and Battlemasters were MB games with Citadel miniatures.

Advanced Space Crusade (or Tyranid Attack, in some countries, IIRC) and Advanced Heroquest were GW releases.

I'd buy that in a heartbeat. There's hearsay of another "mystery box" this year, so who knows if they'll do the boardgame thing again.

I get the feeling that the "mystery box" this year is more likely to be fantasy based although it would be awesome if this game did come back in some form.
