Hello all hope this is the right forum for this question. I am about to paint up 5 scouts with sniper rifles and I am looking for a way to have the blue of my ultramarines on them but not so obvious so as to scream look at me. Help or pics would be awesome.
Cheers.

Not entirely positive what you're asking. Like a way to have them ultramarine without looking to flashy/drawing the eye away from more important units? Or do you mean you want to do it in a way that wouldn't seem to clash with a scout's natural desire to be hidden?
Maybe do just a glove in the blue and have the rest nice and camo-y? Could look cool. Or just the shoulder pads/a shoulder pad which are half covered by the cloaks anyway?

Good ideas thanks for the help, just to clarify I was looking for a way to have them look like ultramarines but not like the GW paintjob it just screams "hey look at me".
My army will have a sandy base not full desert but almost, so I was thinking of painting them like Charlatin said blue somewhere small and camo elsewhere.
Physcosamatic your idea of leaving the chapter markings off sounds good although i would still want some sort of marking since i will be freehanding the markings maybe a smaller U might work?
Once again thank you for your help guys

how about do them desert colors, have one knee pad blue and maybe a shoulder plate here and there blue and ultramarine symbol them all as normal but maybe paint over the transfer to contrast it make like a ultramarines task force that is doing a special mission for the chapter?

Do them in non-ultra blue - EXCEPT for the one usual shoulder pauldron (or both) in UlBlue.
my own scouts are in urb-cam, but the shoulder pauldrons are in chapter colours. I've also seen ultra scouts done in an almost-black dark blue - except for the pauldrons, done in ultra blue.
