perhaps he will be useful but I doubt it. I would rather have a Inquisitor or a Grey Knight to replace useless Cyrus or Thaddeus

If you don't think Cyrus and Thaddeus are both awesome, you're playing it wrong. Thaddeus is amazing with maxed-out health and Terminator armour, and Cyrus can pick off squad leaders and demolish buildings with ease.
Can't wait for Chaos Rising. My computer, being about seven years old, can't even install it, but my friend will no doubt get it off Steam upon release.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made. |

So because I find them useless i`m doing it wrong?? They don`y suit my play style, and therefor I find them useless, I prefer Avitus and Tarkus along with Thule with Assault cannon. And Tarkus and Avitus in Terminator armor.

Cyrus can be very, very good and played properly can sweep entire boards by himself.

Hmm, I wonder what the new Eldar and Ork HQs are going to be, assuming the Librarian is going to be the 4th Space Marine one?
Maybe Weirdboy for Orks.
Eldar? already have two psykers. Autarch won't really fit, especially as they have Exarchs on commander level. Maybe another aspect Exarch? Can't think of anything obvious here.

I reckon Eldar will get some kind of close-combat Exarch, probably a Striking Scorpion to accompany a new unit, and Orks would get a Wierdboy as their own psyker, as they'd otherwise be the only race without any, even as normal units.
Tyranids might get a Zoanthrope Alpha or something.

Was this meant to impress us? I certainly was not. Damnit the Eldar in DoW 2 did not need another ranged unit! We need solid melee fighters and not some space elf with a massive gun... That we have D cannons and other weapon platforms for

Wraithguard are all right. I guess they will fill the role Fire Dragons did in the last game.
One thing I find ironic is Eldar almost seem the most static army in the game with all those platforms and now slaps moving Wraithguard!

Cyrus just doesnt have the staying power of other units.
I usually end up running (single player)
F-Comm. - Power armor, thund. hammer or chainsword + upgraded pistol
Thaddeus - Term. armor + t-hammer
Tarkus - Term armor + Kick ass storm bolter and pow fist
Dreadnought - Melee atm, sometimes cannon.
Currently experimenting with-
Avitus - term armor + sweet ass. cannon
On topic, im stoked for the expansion - chaos = sweet. just hope they dont try to play them as a horde faction like ork.

I do not understand why people have such an issue with Cyrus.
With a properly kitted out army running alongside him: He is DEADLY.
I usually run:
Cyrus w/ sniper rifle, medipack, demo charges, and remote charges.
Force Commander with Terminator Armor, Personal Teleporter, Drop Pod Beacon, and Storm Bolter/Power Fist.
Dreadnought with Assault Cannon and a good fist.
Tarkus in Terminator Armor with a Cyclone Launcher and Storm Bolter/P. Fist
Trick is, especially when facing Eldar, to use Cyrus to bait them into a killzone. Blow the remote charge and take out anything too heavy...then unleash the Dread's Hellfire special ability. He tears away any and all cover from the Veteran Terminator squad's opponents.
Then nothin's left but the killin'.

Its just not my style.
If i did that itd be as follows:
Use cyrus as bait... cyrus dies.
Explode trap too soon...
Die.

That's why you upgrade him to the point where he gets Smoke Grenades, and have your finger over the Retreat key or lure them into the killzone using a sniper rifle shot from him uninfiltrated. Infiltrate immediately afterwards and let it rain body parts.

Simply a waste of time, Assult cannon for Thule and Avitus and Tarkus in Terminator armour with storm bolter/assault cannon and power fist, and Commander with power sword and plasma pistol is a by far more effective method when playing on Captain and Primarch.
Send Thule up front and have him lay down a barrage and move the Com up, supported by Avitus and tarkus, and ditch the cyclone missile launcher and use a extra seal. Works on all foes, But then again I always play aggressive and dont have much patience for the more sneaky ways to win.

On Primarch? Well as I said in my post that tactic sounds dull and don`t suit my play style. But Im sure are you cleverly pointed out that if you acctualy is willing to put up with the constant whining from Cyrus. I say as posted before Cyrus and Thaddeus can go kiss a Lictor.
