Hi there, not all too familiar with the Necron rules, so forgive me if I'm mistaken, but I seem to remember that there's a lot of debate about whether or not they can make a Will Be Back roll after being Swept by a Sweeping Advance.

In the new Space Wolves FAQ it says that:

Q. Are models with an ability to return to play
(e.g. Necrons, St. Celestine, etc) able to use their
special rule even after being removed from play
by The Last Laugh?
A. Yes they can. It sounds odd but their special
ability works just fine.

Doesn't this seem to indicate that Necrons would be able to make a WBB roll after any effect that removed them from play? And as such, would they be able to make a WBB after being Swept by Sweeping Advance? Or am I reading too much into this...

Cheers

The stasis states removed as a casualty. Thus, the models can come back.

The others remove from play.

No. Lukas's Stasis ability removes models in base contact as casualties, triggering WBB. SA does not.

Reading too much into it. If they are sweeping advanced then they are gone.

Trade rules: lower rep trades ships 1st. - I ship within 2 business days, if it will be longer I will contact you & explain. - I will NOT lie on customs forms, it's a felony, do not ask me to mark sales as "gifts". Free shipping applies to contiguous US states.

As an additional difference, Sweeping Advance specifies that special abilities don't save against it. Last Laugh does not.

Also, please note that Celestine does NOT get to come back, as the wording is different. The GW FAQ is wrong.

As for sweeping advance, Not this again. SA clearly states nothing can save the model, Last Laugh does not.

I'm still amused by the inclusion of Titans in the list of things that can be affected. Time to get that unit of Bloodclaws to go give that Reaver a hug....
