A fire point is a fire point. I'm not arguing what can shoot out of it or what it does to the tank etc.
My question is;
Where is this "Top Hatch". As I see it, there are two "Hatches" on a chimera; One above the crew compartement (between the lasgun emplacements) and one above the turret. Which one is it?
If it is the turret hatch, there are no further problems. If it is the hind hatch (between the lasguns) then what do you do about TLOS and measuring. I assume you would measure from the perimeter of this square hatch but what of LOS? As this hatch is essentially flush, I can make zero LOS to anything that isn't at a much higher elevation than me.
P.s I have searched & nothing relevant has come up.
Thanks

It's the large hatch over the passenger compartment, not the cupola.
You would have a hard time squeezing 5 guys into the turret to fire from there...

Measuring is from the edge of the hatch.
LOS is up to you, since the rules don't really cover it, beyond saying 'from the fire point...'.

Measure from the back hatch, simple as that. It's not well defined in the rules for or against so anyone trying to claim you don't have line of site or whatever is gonna have a real hard time backing that up.

Do you play 30k? It'd be a lot cooler if you did. |

Firing from any roof based firing point is always going to be an issue, since technically LOS has to be determined from level with the roof, preventing you from firing below a horizontal plane formed by the roof.
Realistically, I don't think anyone is going to be too strict with regards to this, and you will get away with checking LOS from a bit above the hatch.

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).

I would just check it in line with the roof of the tank, myself.

Although this is the way that I personally play it, it is a RAI interpretation since nowhere is 'top hatch' actually defined. It could well be the turret hatch since it's the most 'on top'.

... Which would be awesome for a few reason's but concidering the overwhelming consensus with the crew-compartment hatch, I shall go with that.
Thanks for the replies guys.
