I fail to see how a MM-armed AV 12/12/10 walker can kill an AV 12/12/10(?) vehicle, seeing as the dread has one S8 AP1 weapon that needs 6's to hit, while the vendetta has 3 S9 AP1 weapons that need 4's to hit and re-roll.

Except that's in melee, you still hit SMF skimmers with shooting based on your normal ballistic skill, you just get a 4+ cover save.
