James Edward Sullivan, better known as The Rev, the drummer and backup vocalist for Avenged Sevenfold passed away December 28th, 2009.
He was 28 years old. His death was ruled due to natural causes.

How does a 28 year old die of natural causes? Perhaps he had some rare, undiagnosed birth defect, like the original lead singer for Drowning Pool. There are a lot of little-known things that can kill you suddenly and unless you have a fortune to shell out for a super-all-inclusive checkup, they won't find them.

Sudden Adult Death Syndrome?

"And what is wrong with their life? What on earth is less reprehensible than the life of the Levovs?"
- American Pastoral, Philip Roth

Oh, Death was never enemy of ours!
We laughed at him, we leagued with him, old chum.
No soldier's paid to kick against His powers.
We laughed - knowing that better men would come,
And greater wars: when each proud fighter brags
He wars on Death, for lives; not men, for flags.

He used to do drugs, and it looks like it caught up with him.

His family didn't want an autopsy done, hence why it's natural causes.

What if you're Hindu?

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

You live AGAIN, so you still die.

I honor this dude's death. He bought it to himself.

Some natural causes of death don't discriminate due to age.

Heart attack, stroke, brain aneurism. There have been 19yo's that were the epitome of health pass over dead from a heart attack for no apparent self-induced reason.

Drugs MIGHT have played a roll but depending on what he did actually die from; natural causes can mean more than just the 3 things I listed.

--The whole concept of government granted and government regulated 'permits' and the accompanying government mandate for government approved firearms 'training' prior to being blessed by government with the privilege to carry arms in a government approved and regulated manner, flies directly in the face of the fundamental right to keep and bear arms.

“The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government.”
