Hi everyone!
I am thinking on including a Noise Marines squad on my Iron Warriors army, because I need another Line Troops unit ( I only have 2, both os normal CSM) and because I love all that noisy , slaanesh stuff. What is your opinion?
Thank you very much!

I've thought about doing this many times and I think its perfectly fine. Noise Marines are described as basically being mercs for hire, working for whatever Chaos band will get them their next fix.

I used to think that a pure Sonic Blaster squad would be best but I now would lean more towards a Doom Siren/Power Weapon squad.
Both of these assume your CSMs are decked out to handle anti-tank with Meltas and Power Fists so its ok to make a dedicted anti-infantry squad.

Well, NM do not fit into an IW army.
I'd take normal CSM units.

In "Storm of Iron", the IW have berserkers, so it does seem they can take cult troops. I would say go for it!

Do you like kidrobbot? Ive got some very rare kidrobbot items I am selling. Pm me if your interested.

Well...count as.
As for Storm of Iron... just because they take 'zerkers' doesn't mean they would take 'any' cult.

In the end, it depends on how much of a purist you are.

As for the OP...it could work as count as. They do have the dakka to keep guys' heads down in a sort of siege look to it.

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

Indeed, I'd think it a good idea, I'm making mine into 'electric' marines, make the weapons look like they fire electricity rather than noise.... put some electromagnets on their backs and stuff but actually use the original guns but with some small tweaks....

Why couldn't you take them? The CSM book allows it... :p

You can take them.
The only self imposed restrictions come from the 'fluff/background' side of things.

The only known cult IW take dudes from is Zerkers, and there are various degrees of purity some are willing to go to.

I've been told that older IW fluff points them in the direction of light Slaaneshi worship.

IW aren't like Word Bearers, they might have 0 respect or trust for a Cult unit but they'll still use them and sacrifice them over their own soliders. They are nothing if not pragmatic.

The newer books with Honsou have one of his lieutenants flirting with Slaanesh

Ahh, nice.
Though I did try to cover my bases with the whole "degrees of purity", which was open-ended enough to encompass the possibility of mixing everything up.

I could see IW converting an imperial pharmaceutical plant into the mother of all meth labs in order to attract noise marines to use as cannon fodder. It's a lot easier than converting a pharmaceutical plant into weapons plant which may not even be possible if enough resources are not available.

Noise marines do have a lot of firepower which IW would respect even if they do look down upon the noise marines themselves as useless junkies to be used as cannon fodder.

Chaos isn’t a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail, and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some are given a chance to climb, but refuse. They cling to the realm, or love, or the gods…illusions. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is, but they’ll never know this. Not until it’s too late.
